Zak Cowell is an HWA Affiliate writer who grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina and graduated from Appalachian State University. In his free time besides writing, he enjoys writing, watching movies, drinking a boot at 2 Feet Brewing, playing horror video games, experiencing eternal suffering as a Carolina Panthers & Charlotte Hornets fan, and hiking the remote Maine coastline with his wife Shelby and his two puppies, Dolly and Lilith. He currently resides in Bangor, Maine where he plans to live for a long, long time.
